Tonight my husband and I, along with my parents and friends (Maddie and Will), went to eat at Chili's in honor of my friend Jenna Fabre and her daughter Sianna Paddie.
On Friday, May 13, 2011 Jenna and Sianna were involved in a tragic car accident that took Jenna's life and severely injured her five year old daughter, Sianna. Since that time, I have kept up with Sianna's status--her constant, miraculous improvements, and I feel like going to this benefit is the least I can do to honor my friendship, however brief it was, with her mother.
Jenna and I met in college on my freshmen year and later were room mates in Europe for three weeks. I liked her a lot. So when I heard about the accident, I was very upset. I've tried to keep her with Sianna's progress because like I said earlier, I figured it's the least I can do.
Anyway, the six of us went to Chili's tonight and we enjoyed dinner very much. Dad and Will went off on their military rants (but it was funny) and together conspired to solve all of the world's problems. Maddie and I shared a dessert. We had a great time. And hopefully, Jenna's little girl will benefit from the great time we had.
